Poker Chaos places the industry’s most controversial questions in front of two opposing teams and a neutral jury. Strong personalities defend sharply different positions, challenge one another’s arguments, present evidence, and attempt to persuade undecided jury members to join their side.

Casting standards

Poker Chaos casts extreme opinions, fearless personalities, and genuine opposing viewpoints. We do not cast threats, discrimination, manufactured accusations, or people who cannot follow production and safety rules.

What we are looking for

Strong Identities. Distinctive Opinions.

Poker Chaos is looking for applicants with credible experience and the ability to communicate on camera. We are intentionally searching for people on opposite ends of poker's biggest debates — the greater the honest disagreement, the more compelling the conversation.

We also need thoughtful, independent jury members who begin without committing to either side and are willing to decide which arguments deserve their support.

Hold strong, specific opinions about poker.
Are willing to defend those opinions under pressure.
Can challenge — and be challenged by — people who completely disagree.
Bring personality, humor, intensity, expertise, unpredictability, or emotional energy.
Can clearly explain why they believe what they believe.
Are comfortable responding to direct questions and opposing evidence.
Understand that passionate disagreement is the heart of the show.
Can remain engaging even when cards are not being dealt.
Are prepared to have their arguments tested publicly.
Can follow the host’s direction and the show’s production and safety rules.

You Do Not Need to Be a Famous Professional

Poker accomplishments matter, but personality and perspective matter just as much. A large tournament résumé does not automatically make someone a great guest. Likewise, modest earnings do not prevent someone from becoming one of the most memorable personalities at the table.

Every episode needs advocates willing to fight for a position, independent jurors willing to be persuaded, and experts who can explain what is actually at stake. Tell us which one you are — or let production decide.

Debate-Team Guest

Pick a side. Defend it.

The ideal debate guest does not hide behind safe answers. You choose a position, defend it clearly, respond to criticism, and confront the strongest arguments from the other side.

You may be an excellent debate guest if:

People immediately know where you stand.
You regularly express opinions others disagree with.
You have firsthand experience with the issue being discussed.
You enjoy challenging conventional poker wisdom.
You can turn complicated ideas into clear arguments.
You are comfortable interrupting — and being interrupted — within the show’s rules.
You can handle sarcasm, pressure, disagreement, and public scrutiny.
You know how to command attention without losing control.
You can be entertaining without manufacturing a false position.
You are willing to defend an unpopular opinion.
You have a poker rival, critic, or philosophical opposite who belongs across the table from you.

Neutral Jury Member

Neutral does not mean passive.

Each episode needs independent jury members who listen to both teams, question unsupported claims, evaluate the evidence, and decide which arguments are most persuasive. The jury represents the viewers who want both sides to prove their case.

You may be an excellent jury member if:

You can begin a discussion genuinely undecided.
You are independent and difficult to pressure.
You listen closely but ask direct questions.
You recognize the difference between evidence and reputation.
You are willing to challenge both sides equally.
You can identify weak reasoning, hypocrisy, exaggeration, and unanswered questions.
You are comfortable changing your mind publicly.
You will not join a side merely because its guests are more famous or louder.
You can explain exactly why an argument changed — or failed to change — your opinion.
You can remain composed while strong personalities compete for your support.

Expert or Industry Insider

Some debates need more than opinions.

Poker Chaos also seeks people with specialized knowledge who can explain the facts, correct misconceptions, and help the audience understand what is truly at stake. Experts may serve on a debate team, join the jury, provide recorded analysis, or appear as special guests.

We are interested in hearing from:

Poker Chaos is not interested in manufacturing conflict or assigning guests beliefs they do not hold. The strongest episodes come from real disagreement between people who genuinely believe their side is right. Neutral does not mean emotionless — what matters is intellectual independence and the willingness to deliver an honest verdict.

Introduce yourself on video

Two Minutes. No Production Budget Required.

A casting video is optional — applications without one are still reviewed. That said, it is the single best way to show us what you would bring to the table, so send one if you can. A straightforward phone recording is perfectly acceptable — we care more about your personality, presence, confidence, and point of view than lighting, editing, or graphics.

Upload to YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or another accessible host. Make certain the link works and that Poker Chaos can view it without requesting additional permission.

Aim for two to five minutes

You do not need to address every prompt. The objective is to make us understand your personality and what you would bring to the table.

If You Want a Debate Seat

Choose one controversial poker issue and make your case. Do not give us a cautious answer designed to please everyone. Tell us what you genuinely believe, why the opposing side is wrong, and why you could persuade the jury. Show conviction, energy, clear reasoning, and confidence under pressure.

If You Want the Jury

Choose a question you are genuinely undecided on and explain what each side would need to prove to earn your support. Tell us what would persuade you — and what would make you distrust a speaker immediately.

Recording tips

Record somewhere reasonably quiet.
Position the camera at eye level.
Make sure your face is visible.
Speak directly to the camera.
Use your natural personality.
Do not read a prepared résumé word for word.
Keep the video focused.
Avoid background music that makes your voice difficult to hear.
Test your link before submitting the application.
Select “unlisted” rather than “private” if using YouTube.
Confirm that shared-drive permissions allow anyone with the link to view the video.

Most importantly, do not try to become the person you think production wants. We want the real version of you.

Boundaries and process

Poker Chaos casts extreme opinions, fearless personalities, and genuine opposing viewpoints. We do not cast threats, discrimination, manufactured accusations, or people who cannot follow production and safety rules.

What We Are Not Looking For

Poker Chaos is not looking for applicants who:

Threaten violence or physical intimidation.
Target people because of race, religion, sex, sexuality, disability, nationality, or another protected characteristic.
Deliberately submit false accusations as facts.
Cannot distinguish aggressive debate from personal harassment.
Refuse to follow the host’s instructions or production rules.
Intend to use the show solely to promote an unrelated product or grievance.
Misrepresent their identity, accomplishments, earnings, affiliations, or experience.
Are unwilling to have their public claims questioned or fact-checked.

The show welcomes fierce disagreement, unpopular viewpoints, emotional arguments, and unforgettable personalities. Every participant must still respect production, safety, and legal boundaries.

How Casting Works

Submitting an application does not guarantee an appearance. Selected applicants may be contacted for:

A preliminary casting interview
Identity and background verification
Verification of poker results or industry experience
A recorded or live video audition
A topic-specific pre-interview
Technical testing for remote appearances
Availability and travel discussions
Review and execution of appearance releases and related documents

Production may consider applicants for debate teams, the neutral jury, expert appearances, special commentary, future episodes, or other Poker Chaos content. Decisions may be based on topic relevance, expertise, personality, contrasting viewpoints, chemistry, availability, reliability, audience appeal, and production considerations.
